REVIEW: ELF Moisturizing Foundation Stick

SKIN TYPE: Oily, Dry, Acne-prone

PACKAGING: Black Matte Glass Bottle

REVIEW: Eversince I started modelling when I was in my pre-teen stage, I was already developing acne (I started my menstruation at 5th grade) Learning to use makeup at a young age, I cover my acne with make up all the time not knowing how to wash my face properly and to clean my makeup brushes. I had to stop wearing foundation (the only makeup I used at that period). Fast forward to highschool, I used different kinds of products from L.A Girl, Maybelline, and ELF. These brands are great for foundation but I never really found my OTP (One True Pair, lol) Pressed powders were great but they don't last through the day, I always need to retouch it since my face becomes oily; Cream foundations were kinda sticky on my face; Liquid foundations becomes oily through the day; UNTIL I discovered ELF's Moisturizing Foundation Stick the fun part is I have an oily and at the same time dry skin and this foundation has a matte finish but it moisturizes my face at the same time. This foundation lasts through the day,It's also very easy to blendb because it has a powder finish, blending it within the day resolves to an automic matte finish again. (TWO THUMBS UP! Because you don't have to re-apppy the foundation, just blend it again when it gets cracky)

PRICE: P450

Game Changer

What's up?

This is probably something I wouldn't post in my site because I like to keep this exclusive for outfit ideas (and the like) But since I realized that I should just share my thoughts and not care about what others may think (I know others may be judging me by saying " Go put it on Tumblr, not on your website) --so if you don't wanna read it. LEAVE.

I came across this famous international blogger Essena Oneill, she deleted all her social media accounts and left us with the link to her (Website -Now who the hell is Essena Oneill? She's an inspirational fashion/lifestyle blogger who speaked out the truth about social media and how it made her life UNREAL. By "unreal" she actually meant it like #FitnessGoals not being goals at all because she grew up with a slim body and she didn't really have to work extra hard to become thin.

Essena's words really hit me to the core. (Not that I'm anyone famous with 500k followers who think I'm #goals) But I'm also a victim of feeling appreciated only when social media approved of it. Feeling contented with myself only when I get a hundred likes on Instagram. All these things came to me like knives stabbing me to try even harder to become better looking and fit. I would do everything to lose 10 pounds as fast as I can. I tried slimming pills and risked my health for that. But I guess I'm over it. I just want to be me. I still like to lose my extra pounds but not because I like others to praise me for having a fit body, but because I wanna do it for myself, and not for others. Because I want to be healthier not so I could post a bikini picture.

The best way to probably start this GAME CHANGER thing is to go back to where I fiest started appreciating myself. I started blogging way before it became a trend. I started blogging because I like expressing my thoughts online through writing. I always thought that it would ruin my website if I would post stuff like this. But I shouldn't care what others think because this is my website and I should be real and not some girl who's just trying to put a website for the sake of it. Because I know very well that I wasn't like that before blogging decided to be mainstream and all these so called "bloggers" post empty blogposts filled with pictures and not with words. That's why I would write and post it on my private tumblr account, so that no one could see it. But I'm sooo done trying to be who I'm not. I'm so done trying to please others.

#MYFIRSTGAMECHANGER move is to post more of my thoughts here rather than filling this website with photos from shoots and not even telling them how I felt at that moment, because some moments are just good to be shared than to be filtered with words that would look pleasing for the eyes of others.

#ThrowbackWithLouise - 6/14/15

Another #ThrowbackWithLouise post because I have been on hiatus for too long.

These are some of the pictures I took when I was gone. Some important scenarios for the past few months (January-May) My laptop is currently broken and the only way I was able to put up this post it through Blogaway App. Blogger isn't compatible in the Phillippines, it would have been easier for me to use that app than this one. Heading over to what this post is all about, let's take a sneak peek to what happened to me while I was gone

#ThrowbackWithLouise -Year End Blog Post

It's Wednesday today.. but since I want to motivate myself this coming 2015 to update my blog more often, I've decided to have this " #Throwback with Louise " atleast once every two weeks, I'll try to update weekly but I'm fully loaded with school works & plates.

1.) This was taken from my photo shoot with my ultimate favorite photographer, my love, Josh Mateo. I was supposed to have a photo shoot with one of my blogger friends but I lost contact with her because we kept on rescheduling dates & our time doesn't seem to meet :( Sad. But I'll surely have more free time after the break, and since Josh isn't here in Manila right now, I have no photographer with me yet also, So no more shoots this break yet.

2.) I am just in love with this black pieces. I bought this Quilted PU Skirt from Zalora ( www.zalora.com.ph ) use discount coupon: ZBAPQ2FR to get 15% discount on your first purchase. No expiry & transferrable! Just use a different email to avail of the discount if it's not your first purchase ;) #easytweezy! This sexy pointed heels is from Primadonna, I got it for free since my cousin is the owner of Primadonna. I'll post my Primadonna collection soon here on my blog!

Collaboration with Blogger Ellah Quieta (@elleur)

This was really an unexpected thing for me. I found Ellah on Instagram via the popular's page, where someone I'm following might have liked her photo. It was fate that bought me to her Instagram account. (lol) I never really had a collab-photoshoot yet with any blogger-friend. I followed her Instagram because I saw that she has really nice feed, and I immediately messaged her asking her if she wants to have a collab-photoshoot with me. She agreed but unfortunately she lives at Cagayan De Oro (which is a plane ride away from me) so there was no way we're going to see each other. But luckily, she got invited to Forever 21's Fashion Week and she wen't here in Manila for a week; hence we were able to meet with each other and have this photoshoot. I also invited one of my new blogger friends, @candytesoro but she wasn't able to join us because she was busy, but maybe I could catch up with a shoot with her soon :>

Pitch Black

I was going from " I wanna wear something really nice " and " I wanna wear something simple " So this is what I ended up wearing. Blazer from Plains And Prints, Top & Jeans from Forever 21; Good thing the weather wasn't that hot at Fort. Imagine the sun & me wearing an all black outfit. That's like the perfect recipe for disaster! So lucky to have an all around photographer boyfriend. Check out his Instagram feed, he posts really nice pictures of Cars! I've been gone for too long and I promise to catch up on some posts. I'll try to update this once a week, and will try to sneak a photo shoot also weekly for you guys!

For A Change

So if you guys are following me on my Twitter Account (@louieonfire) you would notice me ranting once in awhile about my hair, because I've been wanting to cut it shorter but I was so afraid that it won't turn out nice, that I would actually look like a kid. (And for someone who just started college, No. I could not look like a kid) But well, it turned out pretty well. This wasn't really a very productive shoot. It was just like a normal outfit post.

Afternoon Chill

One of my responsibilities as a girlfriend is to pose whenever, even if that means posing at a coffee shop. A very unlikely place, but very good for taking creative shots like this one.

Summer Feeling

Sporting this blue crop top with this neon pink high waist shorts, I'm thinking about getting a haircut real soon because my hair is becoming freezy and hard to manage. (What do you think?)

Nature Calling

We took a stroll around UP Diliman aka the perfect place to chill and for a nature filled photoshoot! Was supposed to go to Fort but we decided to take a different place for this one. We weren't really planning to do a photoshoot but he can't resist me lol. Good thing I brought my camera with me, you never know when you could pull out a good photoshoot right? Besides I can't stand not to blog about what I wore yesterday. There's nothing much about this outfit. My Denim Jacket as seen in my previous post is from Abercrombie, my Sheer Top is bought at Bangkok and my Skirt is bought online, my Gold pointed flats are from Tomato. I searched everywhere where can I buy these flats. I saw some online shops selling this kind and I was actually going to buy it even though it was pricey! I really fell in love with it. Primadonna also released flats like this but sadly I didn't get to buy one. Just when I was going Christmas Shopping I found these lovely babies at Tomato!

Perfect outfit for summer, specially in the Phillippines where the sun's at it's highest, it is advisable to wear sunglasses & a hat to keep you protected from the sun.

A bid Goodbye

Credits to my bestfriend for taking this awesome shot. ^ High School is officially over. I'm still getting the chills over the word over. It seems painful to leave everything behind. It's not easy to be away from the people you've been through for four consecutive years, and others even from Grade School. But to realize after all the hard work and sleepless nights, it's now time to harvest what we've planted.

As the song goes " It's our last chance to take the stage before we go our seperate ways. High School wasn't meant to last forever. "  we cried, we laugh and we had to say goodbye. Goodbye isn't always the end, it's just a different term for new begginings.

Hollywood Presents: Memoir before Au Revoir

Our last dance as a senior before we all bid our ways goodbye. It was one good night as we all dress up in our long dresses, had all prepped up just for that one night that we all will remember for the rest of our life. The ball was a stag party. Yes, I'm studying in a exclusive school for girls so you could imagine how strict the teachers would be in terms of having dates to the ball. I don't wanna go much on the details. But the after party wasn't much of a blast either. Went to The Fort with some friends and slept at a hotel, went home at around 12am midnight the next day because of Unleashed by Lasalle! Animo party was the best! It was a mood turner from the somewhat " not so turn up " after party. Here's my dress from Forever 21 and I have my mom's friend sew me a sheer long skirt to make it appear as long dress but see through to have some style. It's not obvious in the pictures since it's all filtered.

Night Visions (Editorial Shoot)

Photo Collaboration with CMDigi Photography. Never really did a night shoot because I always thought it wouldn't look nice without the sun making the shot look more beautiful, but hey I was wrong! This is yet one of the best shoots I have, and it will always be a privilege working with CMDigi :)

Simply, Inevitable

To be honest, all the pictures posted are all candid. I find it really awakrd to pose fiercely in my photoshoots so I really ask whoever's taking my pictures to take as many as they can while I'm randomly trying to put myself up. That's where I usually find my best photos. Plus they appear so natural.
Nothing's really special bout my outfit today, I bought my midriff and shorts from an online shop on Instagram. I would focus on my Denim Jacket here.

A Sunny day at Fort

It's just about time to update this blog. I was never a fan of corsett's. I remember a photoshoot I did before where I was asked to wear this black corsett paired with a black leather jacket, pants and boots. I wasn't comfortable with it specially because it was quite big for me since I was just 13 at that time. And yes, I wasn't blessed yet with a bust but I was actually around 5'2 back then I guess that's why I was joined into fashion shows for teenagers, and I was working with people 6 years older than me. I was a fan of wearing high heels so it wasn't really a problem of me to be around tall girls. So the story of this corsett started when I was stalking my favorite bloggers, Kryz Uy and Camille Co; as we all know they post credits or to where they bought their clothes, and I found this online shop @mangokidsandco from Instagram and found a lot of good pieces and I immediately fell inlove with this corsett. They only have it in one size which scared me cause I'm not really a slim person so it might not fit me, but well it did and a lot of my friends actually liked this top aswell. Luckily they have it on limited stocks only so I won't have a lot of people having the same top as me. Paired this outfit with a high waisted shorts and a black cardigan from Plains and Prints plus a gold plate strappy shoes from Primadonna.

A touch of Plaid

It's hard to pull of a formal outfit and try to make it as casual as possible while heading out to the mall or hanging out with friends in the afternoon before heading out to the bar. And so I mixed up a little of spice and everything nice to this outfit. This skirt was actually a peplum skirt and I didn't like how it looked since Peplum has been a little bit crazy lately and I don't wanna go for mainstream. So I decided to have it cut and sewed. This plaid polo is my brother's, I just thought it would match my leather bag and shoes.
